Should I apply anything after a Brazilian wax?

Read Time:3 Minute, 33 Second

Please follow the guidelines listed below to take good care of your skin over the next few days.

Please be aware that brief side effects like minor bumps, soreness, and redness—especially if this is your first wax—are frequent and perfectly normal. These symptoms should stop in the next 24 to 48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to contact me.

Keep the waxed area clean for the next 24 to 48 hours and stay away from heat and friction.

This suggests:

    • No hot baths or showers
    • No steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, or massage chairs.
    • cannot be tanned (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans).
    • absence of any sport, gym, or exercise activity.
  • Do not touch or scratch the treated area with unwashed hands.
  • Dress comfortably and neatly.
  • Swim away from chlorinated water.
  • Use only the lotions, sprays, powders, deodorants, and other products that your therapist has advised.
  • For three days following your procedure, regularly apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area to calm the skin and protect it. Use any product only after thoroughly washing your hands. To prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate the areas where you had waxing a couple of times per week beginning a few days after your appointment. Brush the waxed area gently while your skin and the brush are still dry, then get in the bath or shower.

After taking a bath or a shower, massage some baby oil or E45 lotion into the area that was waxed.

Daily moisturising maintains soft skin and encourages strong hair growth. To prevent scraping the skin and ingrown hairs, avoid over- or rough-scrubbing.

A small amount of regrowth could be seen after a week or two. For the best results, your hair may require up to 4 treatments to enter the growth cycle.

In particular, male Brazilian wax requires that the hair have grown for at least three to four weeks prior to waxing in order to remove it effectively.

Between sessions, shaves are not permitted.

To keep your skin looking smooth, I suggest routine waxing every 4-6 weeks.

Thank you for utilising my waxing services. Please follow the guidelines listed below to properly take care of your skin over the coming days.
